What should small business owners be doing during covid-19?

During Covid-19 It's time for businesses to adapt and change their models. This includes large businesses, small local shops, restaurants and bars. There are those that are acting now and those that are waiting to see what happens. Some of your competitors may not open again. If however you act now you have a better chance of surviving what is likely to be the toughest of economic situations.

Thinking outside the box about how you can sell your service or product within your local community adhering to social distancing rules is paramount to rebuilding the customer base that you may have lost during this period of difficulty. Your customer has changed and will be ever more digitally dependant than before.

There are those that are acting now and those that are waiting to see what happens.

It is no longer applicable (if it ever was) to say my business doesn’t need a website or an online presence. You cannot now be technophobic or rely on customers finding you. It is no longer a world where selling face to face will be possible unless you are using technology to help you.

There are those that are acting now and those that are waiting to see what happens.

How can you do this?

It is never too late to get online and sell your service or product and its never been easier to get a website up and running.

If you are a local business and don’t have a website professionally built you will be at a serious disadvantage to those that do.

A good web designer will take the idea that you have in your head and make it a reality both visually and verbally.

A really good web designer will…

  • Learn about your business and help you convert leads in to sales
  • Know what technology can help you be successful
  • Design a site that sets you apart from your competitors
  • Help you create website specific content that engages with to your customers
  • Clearly create a message that captures the concept of your service and values in just a few seconds
  • Structure your content to give you the best chance of being found on search engines
  • Support you to ensure you get a return on your investment

If you are a local business and don’t have a website professionally built you will be at a serious disadvantage to those that do.

I am spending time with new and existing clients helping them make the best decisions on how to position and market their ideas for the future. These companies will have the best chance of surviving what is an unprecedented and unpredictable future.
